Martin Campbell, director of Golden Eye and Casino Royale like hit movies from the 007 franchise has revealed the Man of steel starrer Henry Cavil could well have been the candidate for the 007 franchise if it was not for Daniel Craig’s old age. This may sound funny, but its true. Henry Cavill despite having all the charisma and chiseled muscular body, was too young to star as 007.
This news has surfaced in the wake of situation where the search for a new 007 is underway following Daniel Craig stepped down from the 007 franchise.
However, it was 20 years ago when the Henry gave audition for the 007 role. Fast forward today, he could be a well suited candidate for the role as he is not that young anymore.
In the later part of year 2022, Henry was dropped as Superman weeks after announcing return to the role. The development had followed following a management changes in DC Studios. The reason cited was the Superman story is going to go in a new direction and will focus on earlier years of life when Superman was young. The news went unwelcomed with the fans of Henry and Superman series who criticized the decision.
Before that, it is speculated that Henry had decided to step away as Geralt from Netflix’s Witcher. The fourth season of the Witcher series will include Australian actor Liam Hemsworth. Similar to Superman’s news, this news was also criticized by the fans.
Now the new hope that the fans of Henry Cavill have, is that of seeing him as the new James Bond for the years to come!
